Your First Visit
If you are new to our office, we will first need some information about your past medical history and the nature of your condition.
Paperwork
First, fill out our Confidential Patient Information Form completely and bring it with you to your appointment. It is available below to Download and Print, or you can fill it out here in our office before your appointment. Please come 10 minutes early to your appointment to fill it out here.
Consultation with Dr. Ross
Next, you will discuss with Dr. Ross your specific problem, concerns and any relevant medical history to help the doctor better understand your condition.
Examination
Dr. Ross will the examine you using a variety of appropriate orthopedic, neurologic and chiropractic tests to gain more information.
X-rays
Some conditions require x-rays to rule out more serious conditions and to let the doctor visualize any spinal misalignments for more effective spinal treatment.
X-rays are not always needed.
Same-day treatment
Patients will generally receive their initial treatment on the 1st visit, after the examination is complete. This usually includes spinal adjustment, physical therapy and home
care advice, which may include ice, heat, avoidance of specific activities and therapeutic exercises. Additional treatment options for your condition will also be discussed at
this time.
Scheduling your next appointment
Chiropractic, like physical therapy and exercise therapy, usually reguires a series of regular follow up treatment visits to obtain complete success. Generally, patients are scheduled for follow-up treatment within 1 to 5 days of their initial visit.
